Our tutors offer online classes in 6 different subjects to students in grades 1 to 10. Having been running since 2021, we are proud to have successfully served more than 30 different students across Canada and the USA.
know moreStudents who register for our tutoring sessions can choose to sign up for 1, 2 or 3 months of tutoring. All lessons are taught online, through Google Meet or Zoom, with the tutor using online tools such as Powerpoint, Google Documents, JamBoards, online whiteboards and more to teach the lessons.
We offer online tutoring services in math, sciences, english, french, computer science (programming), as well as preparation for SAT. We cater our services to students in grades 1 to 10, as well as ESL (english as a second language) students. Students can register for a maximum of 4 subjects at the same time.
All lessons are 1-hour long and are taught online. The duration of a lesson can be modified per request, but is not guaranteed. Students can register for a maximum of 5 lessons per week. The schedule of the lessons are decided between the tutor and the student once the tutoring session officially begins.

At Compass Tutoring, we take the quality of our services into a great consideration. All tutors who apply to work with us, must have at least 90% (equivalent to A) if they are a student, or a great knowledge and skills if they are a professional worker, in the subjects that they chose to tutor.

We prefer all of our tutors to have previous tutoring experience when applying to work with us. Any previous tutoring experience, whether it was volunteering or a part-time job is beneficial and would be considered a great asset. To verify your experience, you will be asked to teach a 10-minute lesson if you receive an interview.

This tutoring position requires great organization skills because you will have to manage your student’s lessons, homework, assignments and potentially a Google Classroom or a Google Folder. You must be able to maintain everything well organized, clean and straightforward to provide the best possible experience for your student.
4.
This position requires someone who is very responsible and reliable. It will be up to you to come up with a lesson schedule with your student and make sure that both of you are following it. You will have to keep track of the amount of hours you work and of the lessons completed. You will be responsible for representing our company in the best light.
